[TheToolWiz] Looking for a realistic strategy?
Working back at a big corporation has been quite
interesting in many different ways. One of the eye-opening
things is how important they rely on “initiatives”
and “strategies”. There’s an initiative to triple their
installed customer base by 2010, and a bunch of distinct
strategies targeting various market segments and product
niches.
This is interesting because after attending a bunch of IM
conferences in the past year, I’ve noticed lots of people
selling what I’d call “point products”. And lots of
potential customers trying to figure out how to build a
business around them with no clear strategy in mind.
Rich Schefren put out his Manifestos earlier in the year
and they highlighted the need to focus on a clear strategy
rather than the typical hit-and-miss approach that many in
this arena follow. I can’t agree more! Not because it’s
worked for me so much as because it’s clearly what works
for so many successful business people I’ve met.
Well, if you haven’t heard of JP Schoeffel, or his latest
Firesale, you owe it to yourself to check this out. JP
has been very instrumental in helping me get my products to
market and providing a kind of “guiding light” on how to do
things “right”.
He just launched is third Firesale, and it’s bigger and
better than the first two. Most of all, the thing I love
about JP is that he puts a TON of effort into improving
each of his products, building on the previous one based on
customer feedback. He also keeps adding more of stuff that
works, and removing stuff that doesn’t.
But, more than that, JP has developed a STRATEGY for
earning a nice living on the internet. And when you buy
his Firesale package, you get an insight into what that
strategey is. Including the videos he made that shows how
he took a site from concept to profitability in 30 days.
Nothing is held back.
And with this latest Firesale, you get all the tools needed
to duplicate what he so clearly and effectively
demonstrates in those videos. Over and over and over
again. As they say in those popular commercials, fifteen
minutes can save you … a ton of grief. Just follow what
JP does. It works.
And if that’s not an effective strategy, I don’t know what is.
