[TheToolWiz] My Financial Anti-Freeze Double Deal!

Hello!

I have some Good News and some Not So Good news.

The Good News is … this is something of an Anniversary
for me!

See, I’ve been self-employed for just about 20 years now.

It all began when I got laid off from a job at Motorola
in June of 1987. Anybody who’s been self-employed for
that long knows you go through lots of ups and downs.
After 20 years, I’m totally used to it. I put away money
when times are good, and I live off it (and sometimes
credit) when things are slow.

The Not So Good news is … my wife of four years doesn’t
like it. Truthfully, it scares the absolute willies out
of her. So much so that she decided to file for divorce

What does it take to succeed in IM?

We seem to be getting bombarded with more and more ads for cars and trucks every day. I’m SOOO sick of them! I wish they’d just stop advertising and cut the price of the doggone things in half — they might find they’d make more sales.

The IM market is like the car+truck market. They’re targeting a general audience, but they don’t really know exactly who to reach or how. So the messages we get are all mushy. I’ve bought so much stuff it’s silly. I’ve been trying to find a theme, but I can’t discern one. Everything looks so good and useful! I’ve tried a bunch of different things, and the only thing that REALLY works for me is writing software, which is what I’m best at. But I want something different. Every time I start working on some IM process, I get distracted with another tool I could write that makes things easier. It’s really tough sometimes.
